Description
This is a lovely Victorian blue enamel and seed pearl hair memorial brooch.
The brooch has a gold scroll frame surrounding royal blue guilloche enamel with a floral design containing grey seed pearls. There is human hair behind a glass frame on the back of the brooch.
The mounting tests at least 18k, but does not have a quality mark consistent with its age. It is likely 19k. Circa 1850’s.
Measures 1.4″ by 1.15″ and weighs 9.1 grams.
Good estate condition. Original patina has not been removed.
