Description
This is a lovely Victorian silver topped 14k agate, ruby, and rose cut diamond brooch.
The K-L color, SI-I clarity rose cut diamonds have an approximate weight of .48 carats. The four bezel set likely sythetic rubies has an approximate weight of one carat.
The pin is unmarked, but tests 14k. The silver topping beneath the diamonds is tarnished appropriately for its age.
It weighs 5.63 grams and measures 1.35″ by .8″
Fair estate condition. Original patina has not been removed. The agate appears to have a natural fault through the middle that is surface reaching. Under magnification there is color that ratiates out perpendicularly from the fault.
